My Approach

Whilst I trust in the human potential for growth, I also recognise we are unique beings with differing needs and require our own individual journey to flourish. I therefore work integratively, with an emphasis on two main approaches: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centred Therapy.  In addition, I have developed various skills and techniques to help you make sense of your situation and feel more empowered and in control of your experiences. I work creatively to find a way to help that is right for you; adopting the approach or techniques which most benefit you to explore authentic decisions and enhance your wellbeing.

Nurturing a trusting, purposeful therapeutic relationship is key to you getting the most out of your therapy and is always of upmost importance to me.  I provide a confidential, caring and non-judgemental space so that you feel safe to explore your inner world. I collaborate with you, working calmly and at your pace, to help you gain clarity and facilitate any changes you may hope to make. 

 

In my experience adopting this approach can help you find a way through your difficulties, and provides a therapeutic experience that is meaningful and useful. By helping you improve your self-awareness and develop your inner resources, I hope that you will feel better equipped to move forward with a more satisfying life and manage any future challenges you may face.
